In the autumn of 2013, the Bátor Tábor Foundation in Poland organized its first Polish Contemporary Art Auction (CAA) in Warsaw (artwork gallery 2013) in Ufficio Primo. The aim of the event was to set up an exemplary juried art auction similar in quality and prestige to the one in Hungary with which we could raise funds for the free campership of 70 Polish children. The cost of a child’s attendance at the Bator Tabor camp, despite the inclusion of 700 volunteers, is over 2500 EUR each or almost  200,000 EUR per year. Following last year’s auction success with over 180,000 PLN raised, it was only natural to repeat this impressive fundraiser.

The second annual Bátor Tábor CAA Warsaw took place on October 22, 2014 in Zachęta – National Gallery of Art. During this special evening 49 pieces of art (artwork gallery 2014), selected by a jury of experienced and widely respected fine art directors and curators, gallery owners and design specialists was auctioned. All of them have been offered by top Polish contemporary artists.

In 2015, the III Contemporary Art Auction Bátor Tábor has took place again in the Zachęta National Gallery of Art in Warsaw. The work presented in October were selected specially for this occasion by a jury of top-class experts. Auction conducted Auction House DESA Unicum with the special participation of Mr. Simon de Pury. We invite you to visit the gallery of works and photos of this unique event.

IV Contemporary Art Auction was a great success. In 2016 we presented 60 works (Gallery 2016), and the auction was conducted by Mr. Julius Windorbski and Simon de Pury. The event was graced with speech from Mr. Gregor Muir (Director of Collection, International Art, Tate), who in incredibly flattering words spoke about the level of presented work. The final amount reached more than half a million (exactly 509 900 zł).
